Johnson began his career as a wilderness paramedic in Montana, studying pre-med, and turned to economics after covering China’s acceptance into the WTO for The Economist (Beijing Office). He graduated with a degree in finance from Stanford University then worked in the Chicago office of Oppenheimer as an associate broker. After moving back to China, he worked as management consultant for a German firm specializing in strategic entry analysis and due diligence. In 2007 he relocated to Buenos Aires and started various publications in addition to the Capricorn Research Group, providing comprehensive reports on Latin America’s wealth markets. In June 2009 he launched the publication Alternative Latin Investor, which has quickly grown to be the top source for information on alternative investments in Latin America. He did his graduate work at the University of Buenos Aires and University of Bologna.

Edy is an internationally connected marketing professional and bilingual recording artist currently based out of Bogotá, Colombia. Prior to coming on board to help launch Alternative Latin Investor (ALI) in 2009, she worked alongside the President of San Francisco magazine, the largest regional publication on the West Coast. As PR/Marketing Director for Alternative Latin Investor, in four years, Edy’s formation of strategic partnership and dynamic marketing efforts helped to grow the publication to become the top resource for regional alternative asset investment. Edy graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Spanish Linguistics and Musical Theatre in 2006 and has lived and traveled in South America touring, and doing professional translation and marketing consulting since 2008. Aside from her work in the publishing world, she currently composes, records and tours professionally as one half of the international dúo “Individúo” www.individuomusic.com. Edy’s solo albums “El Ritmo del Mundo” (2007) and “Real Joy” (2011) can also be found on iTunes.
Romeo is a writer and editor currently based in Santiago de Chile. As AEI’s Head Writer, he is in charge of Special Reports and the magazine’s Premium content. Previously, he held the same position for Alternative Latin Investor. Romeo is also the Editor-in-Chief of LegalFácil, a Buenos Aires-based publisher of legal guides on business and family law (and a graduate of Startup Chile). He has written, edited and translated extensively on companies and investments in various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, healthcare, education, green building, law, real estate and finance. He has lived and traveled throughout Latin America since 2009. Previously, Romeo worked as a librarian in the research library of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He studied philosophy and literature at Yale University and New York University, and holds a Masters degree in information science. In addition to his passion for the English language, Romeo speaks Spanish and German.
